In really light air, say less than 10 knots, I may set both poles and use only one head sail, jibbing back and forth as conditions require. The pole is just there to keep the from completely

Hi Miles,
The Sharki was intended to fly twin head sails off the same furler extrusion. I didn't like that approach so I set up a Facnor Code Zero type furler in front of my main Profurl furler.

We have used the Iridium Go for about 2 years, and love it. Connections are fairly reliable with the external antenna, but a bit frustrating without it. Spend the extra $300 for the external antenna,

We found iridium works well topside only. However we installed at nav station where signal can be sketchy. After installing antenna it worked well. I would recommend the antenna.

I would never ever put grease in anything like that. All it will do is hold on to salt and dirt and amplify any problems.

Mine failed. It got very stiff. When I dropped it to deck level the two halves of the unit wobbled and bits of delrin bearings fell out. So do try washing first - with hot water only and see if

Hi John, as a first shot give it a good rinse with fresh water to get the salt crystals out of it. . On a previous boat I had one seize up mid Pacific. We unfurled the sail by hand, lowered the sail.
