Thanks Bill. It sounds like you're happy with the P79 depth sounder looking through the glass bottom. I will probably add that so I'll have a backup depth in case the old B&G fails.

Thanks for sharing that good experience with me Steve. I'm still looking at options, and may not do anything right now unless I find a good option that fits the existing old EchoPilot transducer

I had the hawse pipe replaced by a stainless steel one.
Yes, the small backing plate is part of the pipe.
I am not an engineer, but do feel that the pipe, which is glassed to deck and floor,

I pretend no expertise other than experience. My TMD22 showed the same symptoms. The seized waste gate causes over pressurization by the turbo. The waste gate is there to control the pressure

Thank you to everyone for the good advice on dealing with my outhaul motor. The brushes were hung up and both motors were full of carbon dust and partly shorted from it. Maud is sending new brushes
