Re: Increasing fuel capacity - Maramu #178
Just an addition, I think the Maramu and some of the older designs had the prop shaft generator, which, given fair winds, produces a fair amount of electricity en route.
I agree though about extra

Maramu mainsail furling issues
Does anyone know someone who can help sort out issues with the furler on our new-to-us Maramu in St Martin? It worked well during our sea-trial, but is now stuck furled to within about 1 meter of

If this isn't marketing, what--exactly--is it? Please, this is not the right venue for your solicitations. Read the group rules.

Duane,
Use your ohm meter to check for continuity between the terminals on the temperature sensor on the exhaust elbow. That temp/sensor/switch is normally CLOSED. As the exhaust elbow temperature

Wow! Steve! You were exactly right. One of the wires on the temperature sensor was disconnected...the screw had fallen out. I'm amazed I didn't notice that when I was looking at the exhaust elbow

Onan Generator Troubles
The generator has my attention...again.
This morning it shut down with a "3" fault code, which the manual said requires service by trained personell. I then read there is a second level code accessed

Re: HELP HELP NEEDED REMOVING VETUS COUPLING
Hi Eric,
I've done two of these, mine and another SN, that were absolutely frozen like yours.
In both cases all the usual steps failed, from soaking for days in lubricant, heat, cold and hammering.

Re: Increasing fuel capacity - Maramu #178
The mango included a generator as an option in the build sheet back in ancient 1981. And also saw Amel meltem with generator. They were probably Hugh.

Re: Hauling out Hurricane season in Cairns
Sounds like that's for the best. The lift is 40 tonnes with a maximum width of 4.6m so probably only just too small. Norship which has the bigger lifts up to 400 ton is quite a lot more expensive. I
