The most common problem with Furuno GPSs is the antenna fails. I went through 3 antennas in 11 years. Always had a spare on board...they are less than $100USD.

In Europe they use a long tube to evacuate the holding tank with suction. In North America there is a stand pipe inside the tank that takes the standard pump out fitting and evacuates the pump from

Hello, just realize that the Amel pump out fitting is not compatible with the system used in The Chesapeak area. Anyone have encountered that and made some simple solution for a coupling?

Hey, just caught the part in the conversation where you mentioned that the previous owner had provided jumper cables and that is was ok "for a short time" to jump the starter battery from the house

Hmm...interesting.....all four sails on Elyse furl anticlockwise so the UV protection is on the starboard sides of the genoa and the staysail.
