Re: Bilge pump
If you grab it in the middle you will find it moves enough to cause the entry to go up and down with the vigorous movement, creating a pump action.

Hi James,
This is clearly not a standard part that can be sourced in the US, but just take your lowering mouse to any machine shop and have them make an identical one out of delrin, but with a notch

Hello everyone -
I would like to ask if anyone can recommend a US source for a replacement plastic ballooner halyard hook (for hoisting). This would be for a Super Maramu 2000.

I had a similar problem, wherein the chain counter would count on its own, regardless of the anchor position. I had Alban in Martinique look at it and he cleaned the magnet. It worked for awhile and

Re: Super Maramu Repower
We have recently been through the process. Couldn't justify the dollars to make the Volvo tmd new again. Oil leak. Turbo rebuild.
We have installed a new beta 60.
Plenty of power. Lots of torque.

Hi Mike,
I believe if the exhaust temperature at the sensor exceeds 230 degrees F. the genset shuts down.
I will do an experiment one day and disconnect one wire while the genset is running and see

Re: Anchor chain counter
We just had this problem. It was a rusted magnet.
It's very easy to open up the windlass and see the magnet on the gypsy. On A54 #69, we have two windlasses, so I just took the gypsy from the port

Re: Anchor chain counter
The magnet gets rusty. You may test the system , take off the gipsy and hold/turn a magnet above the reed relay and observe the counter

You had me fooled. Your original post stated Amel 55, and the 55 furling assembly does not have a worm!

Hi guys,
I am leaving it overnight soaking in diesel. I tried a puller earlier to push out the shaft but nada.
Tomorrow I will apply heat and the puller. If that fails I guess it will need a press.
