Pat, the turbo is apart of the the exhaust system and therefore gets very hot. That is why they talk about an inter cooler. If any oil or any matter at all gets on to or under there it will smoke.

HI,
look at water mixing near turbo. I had ( Yanmar) a very little hole
and very thin dust, like smoke,going out.May be You have to check
with magnifying glass.
Than, first aid, is possible to close

Turbo smoking
I have a volvo tm22a, a couple of days ago we were motoring into 25-30
knt.winds and of course rough seas.I never went above 2400 rpms,when I
took a look at my engine ,I noticed wiffs of smoke

on our prop shaft is the B model. Be vigilant about keeping the

You can phone Spurrs in Florida and ask them what is the diameter of the
shaft on Kimberlite and order the same line cutter. They keep records on all
line cutters and parts sold.

Depends a bit when you are going to lay up there. If it is in the hurricane season many marinas, yacht clubs on the coast have requirements that you move your boat to a "safer" area or take it out
