we love our Amel 54 but we constantly struggle to keep the exhaust side of the hull clean. A battle we often loose and after just another couple of days that black spot on the side start growing

I am not (yet) sure about delivery time and cost to HI, but I know Seattle would work. At this point it looks like one or possibly two, boxes UPS ground for something less than $100.

We installed the new Bamar furlers about 2 years ago and have used it for two seasons. So far we have had no issues.
We never furl under load. We always loosen the sheets to the point

I replaced both furlers with the EJF’s. Since they use a planetary gear system instead of belts and worm-gears the torque provided by the furler is about twice as high compared to the original
