Albon at Amel in Martinique can probably have the gear or shaft/gear for you when you arrive. You can email him at amel.caraibes"at"wanadoo.fr

I just had two teeth on the gear attached to the horizontal winch-handle shaft break off. No warning as it has always worked smoothly and easily. It feels too light-weight to be stainless. Is it

There is NO restrictions for boats to come to Sint Maarten.
An Amel owner just asked me if boats were still allowed to go to Sint Maarten, so I went to Immigration and ask.
Only incoming โcommercialโ flights from the US, UK and EU are canceled as well

Re: Beam IV : A55 ; Shelter Bay , rudder assembly
In my experience, the nut is very tight at all times so turning "until tight" doesn't necessarily work. You don't want to over tighten this because it will shorten the period to a complete repacking

Re: Beam IV : A55 ; Shelter Bay , rudder assembly
Use the Amel-supplied wrench and turn the plastic nut 1/6th of a turn or more until tight. I have been on a 55 that required 1/2 turn, but it is usually 1/6th.
On all but the first 55s, Amel installed

You need to remove the plate circled in red. You will then have access to a large plastic nut which can be tightened clockwise in 1/6 revolution increments. AMEL provides a large custom wrench to

Are you referring to the rudder post packing inside the water-tight steering, autopilot, and quadrant compartment?

Does anyone have a diagram , is there a stuffing box , or tightening gland and can this be tightened with the boat in the water?

Re: Bow thruster oil seal leak
Thank you Bill and Giovanni,
Bill, RTV was used, I just did a good job wiping off the excess. The leak is between the shaft and the lip of seal not seal to housing. I agree that we need SAV at Amel.

Re: Cockpit Loud spekers
I just put these in my SM - THEY ARE AMAZING!

Was shocked at the range, and how well it uses the cabinet
