Re: [Amel Yacht Owners] YANMAR ENGINE PROBLEMS
This problem is not specific to the Yanmar it happens as well with the Volvo. Before replacing the solenoid I would recommend you to check the starter relay which may be faulty.

I had the same problem. the amel mechanic in the canaries found that
the black starting relay on the port side of the engine was
defective. no problems since that time. it is not the starter motor

YANMAR ENGINE PROBLEMS
ON MY SM #347 FROM TIME-TO-TIME WHEN I SHUT DOWN THE ENGINE BY
PRESSING THE KILL SWITCH, NOTHING HAPPENS (I.E. THE ENGINE CONTINUES
TO RUN). SO I OPERATE THE MANUAL FUEL SHUTOFF ON THE ENGINE.

With this like-new propane locker, try glueing two plastic washers to
the door where the bolts come through and the plastic nuts screw on.
This will protect your stunning new finish and make
