Re: Companion way for removal
Ian,
I read that the product you used has a paper backing. Was this removed for installation?
What did you use for glue or cement?
Were you able to get the new veneer between the door and the outside

Re: Battery Chargers
Thank you John. Did you confirm that it doesn’t have an internal safety ground that defeats the Amel isolated ground bonding system?
Will it be Lithium-ready if you go to Li in the future?
Thanks

Re: Water in Forward Head Bilge and Bow Thruster
I agree with Tom on this one. I spent ages looking for a leaking seal on my bow thruster. To no avail. Eventually I resorted to hammering to windward whilst locked in the forpeak with a headlamp.

Eric- that looks awesome and has inspired us to put this project on the list. Can you describe the glue you used and did you consider any other faux veneers ?

Thank you so much for hosting the open boat. It was delightful to meet you, and other Amelians. Seeing a “real” Amel home and hearing your stories have entirely erased the very few misgivings

Re: Annapolis Boat Show
Craig -
It works perfectly.
I just figure it's a bit silty here and I'd rather not run it near a city especially when we can hopefully get dock water easily.
