Oh Mark- on your last question, have never used it on the run rail. We clean that with Vaseline every few months and the red comes back nicely.

Mark- this is what I used. Bought a case of it from a Dutch paint store in Bonaire. The pic I posted was of my sun-bleached deck locker half treated with polytrol (which was fully dry). Joel- as usual

Hi Tom and Mark. I have used Polytrol with good results for decades and it does what they say it will. One caution. Painters absolutely hate this stuff. The reason Polytrol works so good is it is not

What are we looking at here, Thomas? Is the photograph of outboard sun-bleached and inboard fresh polytrol?
Has anyone looked at the faux teak material that is custom manufactured to fit and glued

Re: [Amel Yacht Owners] Bow locker seals
I got the seals from Maud at Amel France. They are half-round with a stiff bottom and what I think is neoprene rounded top. The top is very soft and appears to be exactly the same as the originals.

Yes, the decks are amazing. The former owner was an absolute perfectionist so the level of workmanship is outstanding.

Thanks Paul. It has just been sold.
Perhaps we'll still cross paths in AU/NZ! We plan to be there Nov 2020 or thereabouts.

You did not state whether you have a swivel, which could account for some of the issue. The other thing that you should take into account is that SS chain will twist easier. The links of galvanized
