Re: A.M.F.A fresh water pump on A54
Yes, it could be the brushes on the motor. They are replaceable.
You can open the Square D pressure switch by unscrewing the nut in the middle of the box. You will see two mechanical spring switches.

Re: Refueling from Deck
I was not going to post this, but..........
If you set the jerry can above the tank you are filling, you can safely siphon without a "gizmo."
Place the jerry can at a level above the fuel tank fill

Thanks a lot for your feedback. It was nice talking to you on VHF a few days ago :-)
I will immediately order the switch but we must have water in between... We are still two weeks in

Re: Refueling from Deck
These are great. We have one. I also use it to transfer fuel forthe dinghy. It is possible to leave the fuel can on the deck and the dink inthe water. Saves trying to use a big funnel and spilling gas

I have never seen a combined product.
BTW, I like the galvanic isolators with a gauge.

Refueling from Deck
An auto siphon, also called a jigger will empty a 5 gallon container in less than a minute. I would only dispense direct to tank with fuel I trust otherwise I'd pre-filter it through a Baha Filter.

In early model SMs the Shore/Generator relay switch box was located in the Lazarette, in later models behind the generator.
Attached is a page from my Amel Book showing both locations.
It is important

Mark,
The contactor relay is not in the engine room on early SMs. See the photo I attached earlier. It is inside the cockpit lazarette.
