I kept my boat in Samos Marina for two winters. It is a good, tidy, secure, and cheap boatyard .

Mark, no apologies needed. Amel benefited by that association

Hallo Dean,
I know this Problem. My Engine (D3-110 , 1600 Hours, 2008) has the same "Problem" between 1.000 and 1.200 rpm. It has it since many years and so far no Problem. As I noticed It's exactly

Hi everyone,
While on the topic...
Our engine room has no 220V blower, something that has bothered me for a while and often prompts me to open the engine room cover or turn on the DC powered blowers

On the upper right side of the u siphon there is a small hose that exhausts into the starboard scupper.
This breaks the siphon.

Re: Engine room ventilator
Thanks Olivier
For info, the galley extractor uses a Plastimo 16275 (dated 2008, so probably installed by the yard). It’s rated 2A, 150m^3/h (88 cfm) so quite a bit less than the engine room blower

I would recommend the Marina of Agios Nikolaos on Crete - if you can get a place there. We have a couple of Amel here, most afloat though.
It is one of the cheaper marinas in Greece with a lively town

You can use a 12v fan but expect it fail fairly quickly due the fact that it will actually be running at 14+ Volts most of the time due to the alternator running while it is running. To add some more

Hello Thomas,
Olivier explained to us a while back, this was because it would last longer (running on 12 volt) also I think less voltage variation.
Sincerely,

Engine room ventilator
Hi all,
We found our engine room blower (inlet) dead. It’s a 24V/5.3A 250CFM jabsco (ref 35440-0010) that’s purposely powered with 12V from the engine alternator/starter battery (as per the A54
