I recently installed a B&G Vulcan with Forward Scan and part of the deal was a chart card.

Another owner had to rebuild the hydraulic cylinder on the shaft brake twice. I think it is unusual, but has happened. Have you eliminated the hose?

Re: [Amel Yacht Owners] Anchoring in deep water in the S Pacific.
Kent,
I anchored in 30 meters in Bora Bora at 3:1 scope. We were there for several days with winds in the high 30s-low 40s.
The scope required to safely anchor can decrease as the depth increases.

Anchoring in deep water in the S Pacific.
Wow, guess I’ve got to devise a good way to add rode to my 300 ft of chain. Is 250 ft of 1 inch rode on 300 ft of chain enough? That’s less than 6:1. There was some discussion a while back, but

Hi Kent,
the question was not to me but I have fond memories of time there. I spent a lot of time anchored in 27 meters (90 ft).

That’s a mighty nice anchor you’re giving up, Bob. I wouldn’t trade mine for anything.
I see Gallivant is in Raiatea.
What kind of anchorage depths are you finding down there?

The 303 product range is the best I know of for that, but sadly I know of no magic except CorrosionX, which BTW is made in Texas😀
