Re: More battery questions
Dean,
Thanks I will order a pair. I checked the Lifeline technical data and general information and they say nothing about balancing. They do talk about not mixing old with new, but we all know that

It is for you to put your feet on when the boat is heeled over and you need to sit on a toilet.
It anchors in the wooden floor grid.

Joel,
If nothing else, this is a great reason to buy Amel. You made my day.

Re: What is this for?
It is to get a foot support when you are sitting on the toilet and the boat is healing.
You attach in to the teak floor (don’t lnow the proper name of it)

Re: Rolls Batteries
Dean,
I was looking at S12-116 AGM. This is what I can get here. Price is 413 euro, and S12-128 are 438 euro. I am not sure if 12-128 would go in to battery compartment on SM 2000. I need to measure,

Slavko,
I researched Rolls batteries last year and my choice was the S12-128 model, but this was driven partly by the fact that they are drop-in replacements for my existing Zenith AGM's. Rolls

Re: More battery questions
Nick,
I would recommend balancers as I have personal experience of AGM getting unbalanced, and I believe this should be avoided. Especially since the balancer is cheap.
Victron suggest their balancer

What is this for?
I found this wooden part in front and aft head. Any idea what is this for and where it is mounted. Sorry I feel stupid but can not figure out where to use it.
Thank you.

Sorry to go on about batteries……
I have 8 Lifeline AGM batteries set up as four pairs of 24v. So the four pairs are in parallel. I set them up as I found the original and as Amel must have set

Dean (Scott),
I did a full upgrade to lithium about a year ago and am now adding to my battery capacity which is currently 400AH with another 500AH in preparation for world cruising next year.

Dean,
At least with my batteries, they are passively balanced. Most are. That means they don't balance between cells (even if I had a 12v system because recall that a 12v battery is 4 lifepo4 cells in
