Hi Kent,
You might consider locating the nuts precisely and using a hole saw with the centering drill bit removed. This gives you access and leaves far less of a repair.
Best,
Dan

Re: [Amel Yacht Owners] Flexible Prop which one for SM?
Pat is correct. At the time that Amel started using AutoProp instead of MaxProp, Amel modified the C-Drive housing so that AutoProp blades would clear the housing. You don't want to try an AutoProp

Re: Flexible Prop which one for SM?
Philipp,
What engine do you have?
Amel sold many SMS with AutoProp’s. They are an excellent choice. These props automatically find their pitch depending on conditions (speed and power applied),

Recliners in SM Saloon
Hi again everyone,
I’m considering replacing the settee and pull-out sea berth with two small recliners. I remember another SM that did this effectively several years ago, but can’t remember

Re: [Amel Yacht Owners] Re: Sonic Speed transducer repair/replacement - how?
Hi Jose,
We had our sensors changed in Martinique. As with everything on an Amel, what may look daunting turned out to be straightforward.
Disconnect the inboard end of the cables. Undo all the cable

There is an alternative to a paddle wheel sensor. The Airmar CS4500 ultrasonic speed and temperature sensor. It connects directly to the B&G Hydra 2000, there's a specific connection for it.
