HP Pump technical Data
Hi together!
Is there anyone who knows about the HP pump electric consumption? I can’t find nothing in the technical data sheet from Dessalator and any type label on the motor. Thank you Stefan and Anne SM 373, OYA Mayreau / St.Vincent

Just though I’d share this unfortunate experience. I had new membranes last year after 11 years. Just recently there was a boat anchored ahead about 200 – 250m which unknown top me at first had been dripping fuel into the water. This rendered my new membranes completely useless (TDS > 1000) and I now need to replace them again. I was subsequently told that if there is just the slightest hint of fuel in the water to not use the watermaker.
Cheers,
Paul

I am waiting for a response too. I don’t think Maud is back at work yet, but Maxime completed an order for me which had been on hold from before lockdown.

I think they are under pressure with a reduced workforce and sensibly focussing on the production side. I will give it another week and then inquire again. Unless, that is, someone can tell me a different source for the mainsail motor covers..... Ian Ocean Hobo SN 96 Currently refitting in North Wales

I assume you have the new common rail electronic yanmar. What is the model number? is it 4jhlte as in your note. What model Amel do you have and the hull number? I might be able to help isolating the battery from the bonding. When you mention ground- are you speaking of the yellow/green bonding wire? Is the battery negative wire connected directly to the engine block? Fair Winds, Eric SM 376 Kimberlite

we are aware of the problem and our mechanic as well. All the engine frame and the head of C transmission are connected to the ground cable. The issue now is that the sensors on yanmarr 4jhlte are connected with the engine CPU and we are understanding how solve the problem. In any case we have the Anode on the h6 autoprop and also on the rudder. cheers marco

Re: A 55 # 9 : Chargeing and mastershunts
Hi Paul,
Whilst on City Island (the self-proclaimed "Cape Cod of the Bronx ! "), stop by the Harlem Yacht Club - "The Friendliest Club on City Island". I was the Commodore back before the turn of the century - mention my name and you'll get a free ice cold glass of water and some "sea stories". Guest moorings are available - tell them you want the deep section out by the channel. They've also got an excellent restaurant which I think has reopened. Cheers, Craig

Alexandre, we all felt for you when you lost your boat. And then watched in disbelief at the behaviour of your insurers. Without doubt you maintained your boat at a level few of us acheive and generously shared your knowledge. I wish you well in whatever path you follow from here. Danny SM 299 Ocean Pearl

Re: Dessalator fresh water rinse - leak?
Mohammad Shirloo
Hi Stefan;
We have the 150 L/hr AC only version. On ours, we simply turn off the unit and then turn down the pressure valve. If we want to back flush, we turn down the pressure valve first and wait for the unit to backflush, and shut down automatically and then turn the switch off. Sorry, but I’m not familiar with the DUO, so can’t be of much help.
Happy Sailing;

Thx a lot for your fast responses.
How is it possible to avoid the fresh water rinsing? It seems to be automatic (DUO D 100).
Does anybody knows the brand/part number of the solenoid? I can not figure it out without dismantle.

Just turn off before reducing the pressure this avoids the rinse
