Re: Sail Plan - Super Maramu
Peter, Remember that even if a diagram exists, the 54 rigging specs were changed twice during the production. The SM was the same throughout production.

Re: Dessalator DUO 100 - Watermaker HP hose/pipe
To reuse the Dessalator screw-on fittings you will need a hose that is very similar to the hose Dessalator uses. I have done this with hose that I bought from Dessalator. I am sorry that I do not have the specs. Click here for instructions for reusing the fittings.

Lewmar acrylic lens replacement on Amel 54
I need to replace all my Lewmar arcylic lens on the 7 Lewmar hatches. I have measured the outside and they tally with Lewmar specs for the size 50,54,60,and 70.
I measure the actual lens size and the size does not match the Lewmar specification for the actual lens. Example: Lewmar size 50: My overall outer measurements, 448x578mm. Same as Lewmar spec. Lewmar size 50 lens: Lewmar specification measurement for lens is 377x507mm. My measurement of Lens inside the seal 387x517. Can anyone put me straight on this? These acrylic lenses do not seem difficult to install after looking at the Lewmar video, don't want to order the wrong size. Last year I repalced my 1989 Electrolux stove by a Force 10, 2 burner American Standard. I am very happy with this model. Very easy to install, same sice. Best Peter Jäger Wilson SM#003 (Sent from mobile device)

Hi Soraya, You can probably pick up the hose in any hydraulic shop. I use a hydraulic hose rated at 5,000 psi. Fair Winds Eric Amel Super Maramu #376

Hello,
We are looking for the specs (type, inner/outer size, max pressure etc) of the high pressure hose HP between the HP pump and the 'pressostat' (pressure regulator?).
We have checked online, the dessalator website only shows the fittings without the HP hose, and the company is currently closed due to COVID.
We have the stainless steel fittings that can be reused, and are running Dessalator DUO 100.
Has anyone gone through the exercise of sourcing the HP hose and reusing their own fittings? Any recommendations appreciated.
Thanks for your help Best,

I totally agree. Once you had GN Espace, I doubt if you will ever go back to anything else. GN Espace is a Yacht School Preferred Vendor.

GN Espace are very nice. However the price is eye-watering. About twice the price of Force 10. Also they use this (again expensive) system for putting things is in the oven that I did not really like.
I agree that Force 10 did not benefit from the ENO takeover. However they still have some distinct advantages over the standard ENO stuff. But the quality of finishing did suffer quite a bit. I replaced the Eno on our 54 with a 4 burner Froce 10. Although not nearly at the point of what you can get in domestic stuff for that price, it's working OK. I still like the balanced oven door. It's their mayor selling point. When installing be careful as there can be some sharp edges on the back. The 4 burner required some work on the cavity of the 54 as the total width of the stove is less then the Amel version of the ENO. However the effective cooking surface is virtually the same. Also the locking mechanism for the gimbal has been taken from the ENO line again not improving on quality. Regards, Arno Luijten SV Luna, A54-121

Hi All,

the company you are looking for is GN Espace top of the range. They have their roots in super yachts equipment and professional gastronomy stuff, but meantimes also suppliers for premium boatyards like Amel, HR, Rustler and oyster. We met these guys on Southampton boatshow, very friendly, customer oriented and helpful, no problem to create individual solutions, also for spec galley systems. Will be our next choice if our ENO will go at anytime. Force 10 formerly was an independent Canadian company, highly recommended but than „Involved" by ENO…now the same. sadly. When we refitted Eleuthera, SM007, we went for Ocean Chef 3.(OC3) This is the cooker installed on Oysters. Advantages: - Fits well into the space vacated by the old unit, - 3 burner cook top instead of 2 in dearly departed old unit - Good gimbal. - Top grate locks in our Induction cookplate (Unold… inexpensive and a great unit) we rarely use the Ocean Chef propane cook top. Disadvantages: - OC3 markings/decals disappear very quickly if cleaned. - Igniter unit failed quickly even with limited use. We now use one of the long igniters to light the oven. - We added a brushed SS deflector plate to dissipate the heat under the Microwave shelf. Piccies available if needed. After 4 years, we are very satisfied. The Induction add-on is awesome. Would not be without it. UNOLD … Germany made Good luck,

Just my 2¢, I think Force10 quality has gone downhill over the years.
There was a thread on this forum a little while ago about a company in the UK who makes really top notch stoves. Sorry, I do not recall the brand but they are impressive. Also, have you considered Dickison: http://dickinsonmarine.com/
Both companies ship globally.
