Watermaker Membranes
mcymabm <mcymabm@...>
Hi Michael, Ian & Judy...
I am also looking to buy SW30-2521 membranes and I was very interested by your recent posts. I went to the web site of airwaterice. I got the reply that they do not ship outside US...but I am presently in New Zealand. Do you have an idea of how to get them here? Yves MARTIN d'AIGUEPERSE S.V. "BLUE MARINE" S.M.311

Re: [Amel Yacht Owners] Re: Amel Santorin wanted
David Wallace
We have a Maramu and have sailed quite a bit with good friends who have a Santorin. The Maramu has more interior storage space due to the layout but the Santorin has a huge "rear garage". The Santorin does indeed appear to be faster than the Maramu, probably because the Maramu is 14T while the Santorin is quite a bit lighter.

Re: Amel Santorin wanted

I often thought which would be the best.
I prefer Santorin as well, because it's newer, it seems like Super Maramu, it has the new C transmission from Amel, and it should be also a little bit faster. But in my understanding, also from some people at Chantier Amel, it seems that Maramu is slower but more indicated for long cruise. I don't know very well but I think that both are very good. ciao Alberto --- In amelyachtowners@yahoogroups.com, "Jose_Luis Isasi" <jose.luis.isasi@...> wrote:

Would prefer a ketch but would consider a sloop as well.

I guess just because they are newer, and also I prefer the saloon
table in the Santorin. --- In amelyachtowners@yahoogroups.com, "almars1972" <alberto.marsini@...> wrote:

airwaterice.com are in Florida. Te No 001-772-461-0256. The membranes are part no SW30 2521
I bought endcaps and the connecting bobbin direct from Amel. The airwaterice cost for a membrane is $158. Same membrane direct from Dessalator is 298 Euros, ex VAT.... Take your pick. Hi Garry,
yes, in French convention the crossed O means diameter. this would be: -air conditioning water pump: diameter 25mm and so on. What is not indicated is if she is talking about OD (throughull hole) or ID (water passage). Sea Water Manifold Measurement Questions
amelliahona <no_reply@...>
Hi everyone: I called Amel and spoke to Maud about the
measurements of the outlets from the sea water manifold. She spoke with Olivier, who is in Germany at the moment, setting up for some sort of boat show there. Below is the info forwarded. I am not familiar with the syntax of the measurements and the units aren't specified but I assume they are millimeters. Can anyone verify that this is how you show millimeters in France. Maud wrote: "Further to your request, you will find here under the inside diameter for each of the 5 sea water outlets from the sea water manifold: 1. Air conditioning water pump : Ø 25 2. Forward toilet water pump: Ø 20 3. Aft toilet water pump: Ø 20 4. Watermaker feed water pump: Ø 20 5. Anchor washdown pump water: Ø 25" Regards, Gary Silver

Amel After Sales Support has a new E-mail Address: It is SAV@Amel.fr (that is: sav AT amel DOT fr) Yahoo will probably truncate the @ email address. The Windlass switches can be purchased from Amel at a reasonable price. The rubber boot that covers the switch is seperate from the actual switch. If the switch works but the boot has broken down from UV exposure or use then just order the rubber boot. Last year I ordered several extras as this is a consumable that will need to be replaced regularly. Amel can also provide the switches themselves. When replacing the boot/ switch you will need to seal the assembly with RTV. Regards, Gary Silver
