Mark, In my case, there is no way to attach a new cable to the old cable at the top of the mast. At least not that is apparent to me. The original RG58 Cable seems to be "hardwired" to the Banten AIS

For posterity, here are some close up pictures of the "bowtie" pieces of foam that are inside the mizzen mast. They are pieces of cylindrical foam about 10.5 mm in diameter and 40mm long. They are tie

SM Fresh water pressure tank
Dan, I had the same issue when I bought Cara. It turned out to be a pinhole leak where the bracket was spot welded to the tank. I had my fabricator fix the leak but another leak popped up right away s

"Apple is examining a chemistry for the car battery called LFP, or lithium iron phosphate, for its car", that will bring the cost down for all of us
This will not likely have a trickle down effect for marine batteries anytime soon. The key differentiator for Apple is the "monocell" cell design, not the LFP chemistry. It's their way of trying to ma

Eric, I didn't really see it specified anywhere in the eBay listing but if you scroll through the pictures you will see a schematic showing a 16amp switch. It also looks to be identical to this timer

Timer for autmatic watermaker flush
Eric, It's appears to have a 16amp switch but you never really know with a ~$9 eBay timer. If you are concerned, you could always have the timer control a relay and have the relay control the pump.
