I think that is an interesting thought – I have not changed the bonding strap yet but I wonder about inox although I think copper is around 40 times more conductive that stainless steel so maybe that

Ben I had a similar problem when I got our SM - I eventually found that there was a small mesh filter in the junction between the copper pipes and the mixer - these were partially blocked once I clear
