I downloaded just under 4000 messages and then exported these and this created an sqllite file that was around 8MB, but I suspect that this is probably padded out and probably is a meaningless size. I

I would agree with a lot of that but receiving a simple text message can also be easier if you are in a low bandwidth situation. I download and tried the yahoo forum offline tool - http://www.personal

There is only a breaker for the bow thruster control circuits on the main panel above the Galley - there is no breaker for the motor itself as currents can get to over 400 amps Andrew SM 472

[Amel Yacht Owners] Connecting B&G 2000 With Autohelm 7000
Hi That is one of the first things I did when we bought our boat and wondered why it had not been done as standard but it meant running a twisted pair of wires from the B&G display at the chart table

Duane Yes that is correct – I might add I didn’t do this the first time until I had verified that it was actually above the water line as I had the same thoughts as you! I don’t think it is mentioned

One our SM the plug is just behind the bulkhead on the starboard side in the lazarette in the well where the outboard propeller tends to sit when it is in the lazarette – it is just above the waterlin

We have a total run of somewhere between 15-20 meters (internal cabling + shore power cable) of twin and earth 4mm2 cross section double insulated cable from the shore power to the 32A circuit breaker

My understanding of this would be that you should have the galvanic isolator as “electrically” close to the shore power supply as possible so I think the ideal position would be between the shore powe

Have you considered an isolation transformer this besides isolating your boat from a galvanic perspective, offers some safety benefits leaving you less reliant of the integrity of the shore power syst

I think the key problem is one of energy storage - hydrocarbons store a lot of energy per ml and batteries come nowhere near this, so until someone invents an electrical storage system that could hold

[Amel Yacht Owners] House 24v battery use for engine starting in an emergency?
Bill I guess we might need to be careful with option (2) as the -ve 12v and -ve 24v are isolated from each other and this option may connect them together. Andrew SM472
