Installation of Electric oven with induction cooktop
The Force 10 unit was available last summer - I saw it in Valencia. I’m also converting to LiFePO4, but going all Mastervolt like Paul has on Fortuna II. No changes to the chargers and inverters are n

Amel 55 mizen vibration
Wow, Jose, I’ve never had this happen on Kincsem. I guess the answer is not to go to a marina and anchor instead! Seriously, maybe you deploy a bit of the mizzen sail to change the rhythm? Je Joerg Es

Stuart, I was not aware my boat had two shunts and I’m away from the boat so cannot check. But have you asked Amel (Thierry Billard - sav@...) or better yet, Stéphane at Pochon ( stephane@pochon.

Over the last several months, I've become an involuntary expert in all things VAT on boats in the EU. Marocco works, so does Gibraltar (that's a change since the UK left the EU) but the Channel Island

I have gone all Mastervolt with my Lithium conversion, which was just completed by the local MV dealer. I have 3x200 Ah 24V batteries and I’m using the existing MV 60 A and 100 A chargers and existing

Furling main on Amel 60
This setup proved a 2:1 purchase for the outhaul. Probably necessary given the massive mainsail. I don’t think the winch system used on the smaller boats would work Joerg Esdorn A55 Kincsem

Amel 55 Backstays
Porter, on my boat the back stays stretched so much the first time I sailed upwind in more than 35 kn of TWS that I had to put a figure 8 knot into them to shorten them. I’ve never had a problem with

About 1.5 m above the block and tackle used to store the runners. I would start by using duct tape to tape some old line to the runners and see whether it makes a difference. You are correct that it’s

DC DC starter battery charger on Amel 55 fuse sizes
The electrical plans confirm this is a 15A fuse. I would contact Stephane at Pochon and ask him your question. Pochon designs all the electrical systems for Amel. Stephane is the client relations guy

DC DC starter battery charger on Amel 55 fuse sizes
Looks like you've found the problem, Billy. My understanding is that the Amel 55 initially did not have this DC to DC charger, with the engine alternator being the sole charging source for the starter

Batteries starting to get weak - MMM - What to do -
The discussion here is always interesting but I wonder about the following. There are a lot of electric cars out there which are charged to 100% SOC every day, right? How do their BMS deal with it? Ho

An interesting tidbit from the manual for my MV batteries. One of the „events“ causing an alarm on the Masterbus system is that the batteries HAVE NOT been fully charged for a period - default 31 days

Paul, on my A55, Amel installed the Webasto Thermo Pro 90. It warms up the boat nicely and quickly. Given that your boat has less internal volume, I would think the 9 KW is enough. The heat exchangers
