Mobile communications - 4G, WiFi
I have the Bad Boy Unleashed WIFI extender system Amel offered as an option on the 55. It has worked well enough but I have found that in the Med, WIFI is usually useless because of lack of bandwidth.

Parasailor on A54
Hi Scott, a few thoughts. 1. I agree with you that the bow pulpit is not strong enough to take the load of the guys. 2. I would do what you are suggesting - use the ring - with a few twists. When you

Cleaning the worst parts of an Amel
Thanks, Arno, for this post. I, too, have been using a wet vac and Kaercher to get the bad stuff out of the bilge. But I found that the Kaercher makes a bit of a mess with dirty water mist everywhere

Rig tuning A55
Does anyone have a procedure to tune the rig on the A55? As is to be expected, my rig has stretched a bit after 4 seasons and I have tightened the lowers and the backstay on the main mast a few turns

Amel 54 battery group
It may be that they do not recommend AGM anymore. All 55s have Mastervolt gel batteries. Mine are fine after 4 seasons (never below 60%). I met another Amel 55 from 2011 still with the original batter

Onan service
The manual for my Onan generator says that every two years I should change the radiator cap and the thermostat on my generator. That seems a tad excessive to me. Do I really need to do that or should

New Genoa sail for Amel 54 and SM
