Parasailor for Mango
Hi Barry, there have been several Parasailor threads recently. Please check out my posts on using the Parasailor with the "Tacker". If you do, you won't need a bow sprit. I don't find I need a bow spr

Recommendations for winter on the hard in S. Italy or Greece
I would highly recommend Basimakopoulos shipyard in Kilada on Peloponnes. Competent, nice people doing work at a reasonable price. And the location is very safe from freak winds and thieves.

Recommendations for winter on the hard in S. Italy or Greece
To reinforce what Bill is saying: don’t go to the shipyard in Marina di Ragusa. It’s the worst experience I’ve had in decades. And I would go further. If you want any work done on your boat, don’t go

When to use Running Back Stays and Onan Control Board PCB
Scott, the runners on my boat are in two parts. Part one comes down from the mast and ends in a loop 1 m above the deck and is tensioned with a block and tackle to the base of the shrouds with a snap

When to use Running Back Stays and Onan Control Board PCB
Amel has published the attached guide regarding the use of runners on the A55. This can be found on the Amel Club website, just as several other short papers on operation and maintenance of the boat.

Amel is going lithium
I don’t know current pricing. The generator and mizzen attachment was about 3K 2 years ago but I believe prices have gone up. Definitely cheaper to have more solar but I like the mix of power sources.

I don’t know off the top of my head but there is an output curve on their website which is pretty good. The big benefit is that it’s running all the time when you’re in 7 knots apparent or more. So I

I have a Superwind half way up the mizzen mast and it is completely silent. I have a special connector between the mast bracket and the generator which makes the unit sit and rotate on a plastic plate

Mango Sail sizes
Hi Gerry, I have owned a 55 for 4 years and sailed it some 9000 miles. I’m not selling it. I think you should talk to real owners, rather than consultants or people interested in selling you something

Hi Stefania, the A55 doesn't have the "horns" but that should not mean that you cannot have a Parasailor on your boat. There are several SMs with "horns" and Parasailors so you should compare your set

Paul, the Parasailor is not as easy to launch as my Code Zero on a furler but it's less work than setting the pole. There are two ways to set it. The standard way is using 2 sheets and 2 guys running

Mastervolt alternator overcharging
As I said above, that’s exactly the problem I found and fixed: loose connection in the voltage sensing cable for the alternator. But the latest is that the alarm came back on last night after 8 hours
