Thanks Will. I reckon that the leak is from one of the oil seals on the crankcase. The pump works fine and has only 608 hours on it. However if I go to the trouble of taking it out then it should get

I have a small oil leak on the Desalateur Cat HP Pump. I am wondering if others have found this issue and possible solutions. I have not yet taken it out and had a good look. I am hesitant to take it

Water ingress into forpeak
Some weeks ago I promised to send a photo of the leak into the bow thruster compartment. The little gutter round the hatch has two drain pipes that connect to the box into which the thruster propeller

24v alternator
Thanks Alan, James and Bill for your comments. I can not see that there is any difference between Alan’s set up and mine. So it must be fine tuned. I have seen other 54’s with the 24v alternator drive

I am still not completely happy with the 24v 175A alternator installation on Amelia. There is belt dust that is annoying, and they do not last very long. I have checked the alignment and it is pretty

Water in Forward Head Bilge and Bow Thruster
I agree with Tom on this one. I spent ages looking for a leaking seal on my bow thruster. To no avail. Eventually I resorted to hammering to windward whilst locked in the forpeak with a headlamp. With

Winter cockpit room on 54
Hello fellow Amel owners, On Amelia I have the curtain that zips to the aft end of the spray hood that keeps the front half of the cockpit dry. It works very well and allows easy access to the winches

Mast foot rubber seal pad
Hi Arno, Did the guys in Martinique actually tell you the pad was to dampen the load on the deck when pounding? I can not imagine that there will really be any give in it, after the rig is tensioned.
