Lithium Batteries under Consideration
Michael, I am not sure if they are worse. Given that Jamie was getting below 24 volts overnight after only a year, that sounds pretty bad though. Even our old gel batteries weren't that bad. My concer

Amel original hard antifouling?
Bill, I guess I should have been more clear with my original question. I already have micron antifoul on hand but it seems the existing paint is peeling back to what appears to be a hard antifoul. As

Thanks Bill. We are scraping as much as we can and then going to feather sand and paint over it. The yard here can't do soda blasting so I don't want to risk a hand sanding. Tengah is 13 years old so

Hi all, We're hauled out right now and the antifouling seems to be flaking off the boat down to a very hard, shiny antifoul. The odd thing was that the antifoul looked great upon haulout and slowly st

New Thread on A54 fridge pumps (ATTN: OLIVER Vela Nautica)
I asked my technical / warranty contact at Xylem but he couldn't answer because he was working at home. I'll try again as that was 6 months ago. The software associated with my brush less pump says it

Grant, that's a LOT of capacity! Since you're talking about prop shaft alternators, do you have an older Amel that runs on 12v or are you talking 900amps at 24v? We have 450ah/24v and go through rough

Dean, At least with my batteries, they are passively balanced. Most are. That means they don't balance between cells (even if I had a 12v system because recall that a 12v battery is 4 lifepo4 cells in

Ah yes and we listed to port prior to lithium. Even more so now. Full diesel tank helps though.

Dean, If you have the master volt 110/24 alternator you'll need the alpha pro 2 or later regulator. You'll also need the masterbus-usb interface to pick the lithium profile. No way to do it otherwise.

Jamie, Sorry for the slow reply. I haven't installed it yet but I have an additional one of these aboard: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B000JOK11K/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apap_BwgJiFawCYt3r Plan would be to zip ti
