[Amel Yacht Owners] Maybe a stupid question, but I am concerned abt it.
This is a bit funny, we have exactly this issue with our Mango #67. We never seem to be 100% horizontal... Is this an Amel thing?

[Amel Yacht Owners] Super Maramu Staysail
What about backstays? I would expect that this was required, at least in heavy weather?

[Amel] RE: Sharki cutless bearing
I did actually manage to upload the drawing to the group. If you go to Files, you will find it in the Mango folder, with some other stuff. If you can't find it let me know, maybe I can send it to you

Sharki cutless bearing
When I changed the bearing on our Mango, I found it to be a standard bearing, available in any well-equipped marine shop. The change was very easy, I also froze it down prior to installation like othe

Rudder cables
I just finished servicing the cables on our -87 Mango. At the rudder the bushings were filled with a white powder, that I asume is from some kind of corrosion. At the wheel end, the grease in the rack

Disturbing messages from Turkey
I was in Istanbul the week before last, when it was supposed to be quite a lot of trouble. I saw nothing. My colleague and his wife even went for a sightseeing to the Taksim Square, they saw nothing.

Stern tube bearing
I am not quite sure if this is the correct English term. I have also seen cutlass bearing and shaft log. I am refereing to the bearing in the stern tube, where the prop shaft enters the sea. In my Man

Bill, That actually makes perfectly good sense. We have a rotary unit above the galley, and the noise from that one is quite annoying. The idea of having a spare allready installed is very apealing fo

Why is it that you want a second unit at all? From all the replies it seems to be quite common? Bent S/Y Karma, Mango #67

Boat will not come up to speed
When the bottom is clean and the motor is doing 3000 rpm, the only fault I can think of is the mechanics of the autoprop. Maybe the blades doesn't reach the correct position when going forward? Do you

Re : [Amel] rudder cables
On my Mango there are twomgrease points, but the upper is facing intomthe hull, and is not accesable. I am thinking about drilling a small hole from the cockpit to be able to grease this one.

bowthruster
I am also a new Mango owner, # 63 of 1987. I would be interested in any info about the bow-thruster as I believe this to be a somewhat "weak point" or at least a high-maintenance issue. Did you exchan
