Good morning Kent,

On NIKIMAT (SM2K #289) this light is to indicate if the 24 volt alternator on the engine is "not" working.
This is also what the owner manual says.

In my case, after I start the (Volvo TMD 22P) engine, this light will appear. So I disengage the throttle, the rev it up a little, then the 24 volt alternator work after that.
Note: I had to the same on the Aston to (I think it is called) "energize" the system.
