Cyclone Pam relief and how you can assist

We've donated some funds to OceansWatch, which will be bringing badly needed relief supplies to some of the more remote villages. Unlike many of the relief agencies, OceansWatch has been working in the Solomon Islands for several years establishing MMA's (Marine Managed Areas), sustainability projects, training locals on Operation ReefCheck, and many other sound initiatives.

If you would like to check them out visit http://www.oceanswatch.org and to donate, the page is http://givealittle.co.nz/cause/cyclonepamrelief

One of the really fantastic things about using Givealittle is that it's supported by a charity that absorbs the credit card fees so every penny of the donation reaches OceansWatch and is being used to buy things like tarpaulins to serve as temporary roofing and a means of water collection. They will be bringing some chainsaws that will be used to recycle materials from badly damaged structures.

Thank you for your consideration and please share these links if you don't mind.
