Many thanks for the tips on where to source LED's for the internal light fittings on our SM2000. Just been browsing though the boatlamps.uk site in particular and it has everything we were looking for. Happy days.. :)

We have all LED incl deck lights, engine room, NAV lights.  

We bought from boatlamps dot co dot uk.  Good quality and stock.

Our SM2000 (2001 model) still has the original globe fittings as originally supplied by Amel. We want to change these over to LED but hope to keep the original fittings. Our fittings are the top round flat stainless edged lights with switch on the side as well as the wall mounted fittings with shades.


Reason for this change is both because we find the lighting not bright enough for reading and/or doing fine work at night anymore, but mainly because of the huge draw of almost 1 amp per light!. We would often have lights on right across the boat at night (we still have a teenage university student daughter with us at home) and the power draw is HUGE!!.


There are a few local sources of LED's here in Australia but the globes do not fit correctly and I have exhausted the list of potential suppliers so hoping to be able to purchase these overseas over the internet.


Has anyone found good LED globes that just fit into the SM2000 fittings? If so what is the supplier web address and part numbers?
