[Amel Yacht Owners] Haul-out facilities in Grenada

Bill & Judy Rouse <yahoogroups@...>

Ben,

We have hauled out at Prickly Bay Marina and found them very good.

There is a new haulout at Clarke's Court Bay...newer and bigger lift and the same price as Prickly...do not know any more than that.

There are at least two others.

We are moving our boat out of hurricane box from St Martin to Grenada next month.    We will be back in California for three months visiting family so a little uncomfortably leaving boat in the water unless closely managed by someone.  We could use a recommendation for safe place to leave the boat there - preferably out of the water. We would appreciate an recommendations.

Does Prickly Bay Marina have the ability to leave boat hooked to shore power on the hard?

Ben,

They did when we were there, so yes, I am certain. I will warn you that workers in yards have the habit of disconnecting shore power when they need to plug in a tool, then forgetting to plug it back in. You will really need someone there to check your boat and power daily. This applies to any yard we have been hauled at.
