[Amel Yacht Owners] Red Light on 24 volt panel
Bill & Judy Rouse <yahoogroups@...>
Pat, I don't have one there. Maybe it is the same red light on the lower left of the 24 volt panel on a Super Maramu 2000. If so, it is a warning light that reports that the house bank alternator is not charging. Bill Rouse On Jul 24, 2016 8:12 PM, "Patrick Mcaneny sailw32@... Bill, Same light just different location. The key is off, engine is off, however the light is still on. Boat will be hauled tomorrow to check the hull, and then put in a slip for work to begin from the lightning strike near the boat. Pat, A friend had a lightning strike that reset the electronic hour meter to zero on both engines. That light is controlled by a relay for the alternator on the engine, which is activated by the start sequence when you turn the key. Possibly you have another victim of the strike...either the relay (most likely) or the alternator, or even possibly the start circuit on the engine panel.
