I noticed a small diesel leak at the air bleed screw on the generator injector pump and proceeded to tighten it. I tightened it slowly but nevertheless still over tightened it and stripped the female part of the thread in the injector pump housing. The housing seems to be made of aluminium. I've taken the bleed screw out and it doesn't appear to be original. Instead of being drilled out it has about 1mm diameter of the bolt shaven off for the fuel passage. Has anybody experienced this? Any recommendations on how to repair this? I'm also worried about the small pieces of shaved off aluminium thread that would have fallen into the injector pump. Any help and advice would be appreciated.
