[Amel Yacht Owners] Re: UPDATE *** Martinique. Boat on island about January 18 [1 Attachment]

Mark, Are you living on your boat ? I am at the northern end of the Bay, and yes it has been a bit cold , 15 F presently ,winds N15 kts , sunny and clear. I am looking out over the River (Sassafras ) and it is frozen solid all the way out to the Bay. I walked out pass our pier about 200 hundred feet a couple of days ago , but my wife was yelling at me (as usual) so I could not go further. I think I could have walked to the Bay , about 4 miles. Won't be here next winter.

Wish I could join you guys. Stuck here in Maryland where the temperature has not gone above freezing since the day after Christmas and the low temperature tonight is expected to be ~8 Deg F (-13 deg C). Yikes! I've attached a pic of Cara practically frozen in place in her slip so you can all appreciate the weather in Martinique all the more!

Pat, We do not yet liveaboard. We still have a few years of landlife to get the last kid out of the nest and off the payroll and shed ourselves of a lifetime of accumulated responsibilities. We will likely be here for at least 2 more winters, maybe 3. Enjoy your last norther winter for at least awhile. You certainly got a memorable one!
