Craig, I definately would wanyt it sewed on. My old sail does not have the logo, thus we need to make one from a picture, can you tell me roughly the length of it.

Pat - My sailmaker put an Amel Logo on my main with typical adhesive sail number material (I think he just copied it from the original sail). Unfortunately, an edge peeled up when the sail was furled and made a real mess such that we could neither furl nor unfurl the main. Took me two hours up the mast to get it all separated. Took it back and he put a new one on but sewed it. End of problem.

On our sail the logo is positioned half way up the sail (midway between the spreaders) and is roughly 3' feet in length. Sorry, Pat - that was an old sail that I've since replaced and have no logo now. Plus we're an SN not an SM.
