Just an FYI:  I contacted Nance and Underwood to have a boom slider fabricated (I'm within a few hull numbers of Steve).  Roger told me this would not be possible if they did not have the boom in house.  Apparently, they did not retain enough information on the job to be able to do this remotely.  He did say he may be able to pattern off a local SM.

Hi Joel,
I was going to look into having a 3-hole boom slider made, too.  I was also told they couldn’t do it without the boom.  Are all SM booms the same?  If so, or if Kristy (SM2K #243) is the right vintage, I’d like him to build one for me, too.
Thanks, I hope you’re coming to the Rendezvous!

Hi Kent,

After breaking two of those slider thingys, we had fabricated a solid aluminium piece with a slot in it and had it welded to the boom. We connected the mainsheet block to it with dyneema.
I've noticed that older Maramus actually have the mainsheet attachment welded to the boom, as does the 54.
I wonder why Amel decided to go with that slider idea, which seems rather Mickey Mouse to me ?

Cheers
