I have never seen a CB for the aft cabin lights. They always operate with the main cabin lights CB on the 12v panel. It's a Maramu, not a Super Maramu and may well be simpler. Kind regards Graham Jamesby Maramu 46 #240

Yes mine as well from the salon main panel however I discovered more breakers.... If you haven't done any electrical work I find it odd that the positive leg is dead...zero volts right?

Although I am not absolutely certain about the last two years of Maramu production, Maramus previous had three breakers for the interior lights. Forward cabin lights had a breaker on the drop open panel with the mast light breakers. Saloon lights on the main 12 volt DC panel adjacent to the companionway and the aft cabin with a single breaker most commonly mounted on the vertical panel with the open storage compartments just behind the marine toilet. As you face this panel, it is usually in the upper left hand part of that area.

Hi, I cannot tell you how Amel wired your lighting. I would start by finding the circuit breaker that controls that light and see if it working. However I had a similar problem on Kimberlite in my forward cabin. The wire started in a cabinet in the forward cabin. I had to lift up the glued down material, As I followed the wire I stuck a straight pin into the wire to measure the voltage between the wire and the ground wire. The wire did not have voltage under the material. I then followed the wire along the moldings that ran along the cabin side. They routed out the molding to accommodate the wire. Still nothing under that piece of molding. The wire continued under a piece of molding that ran across the cabin top inside. I finally found a break in the wire and fixed it.
In other areas of the boat I see that they ran wires under the headliner. I would start by checking the breaker and then tracing the wire. It will probably follow a similar path as I have described either under molding or headliner or other fabric. They were quite cleaver in routing these wires. Graham, I believe that it is not possible to answer your question because Amel made changes to all model boats during each model's production years, and because no person in this group actually knows what previous owners did to your boat. Trust me on the latter. I have been aboard many different models and models with different years of production, going to where I absolutely knew something should be, only to find it either totally missing or replaced with something else. It is risky to compare one Amel model to the same model, especially when they are old enough to have been owned by several owners, some of whom either didn't care, or didn't know how to maintain it. I am sure with patience you will resolve your issue. If not, find a recommended electrician. Thank you to everyone who answered this and for the wiring diagram.
I cannot believe how stupid I have been! For some reason for which I can't account, I was convinced that the "AR" circuit breaker in the aft heads was for the air-conditioning system, which we never use. It turns out that it is indeed the circuit breaker for the aft cabin electrics as several of you have said. Needless to say, once it was made, all the lights work again! Ah Ha! Sorry have to do the "I was right dance"....just a little! ;) Graham, your question is exactly what the forum is for. Amel does things a little different and we have all had those banging your head on an Amel "problem" that really wasn't. After so many years of q and a there is likely an answer to most all question asked. The experience and insight here is staggering. So your breaker has a large. AR on top and the buttons are labeled arretter and Marche, stop and run respectively. I worked for EDF the French power company...you pick up little things. AR stands for arriere/the rear in French. The one up in the forecabin says AV which stands for avant/ before or in front in French.
