A POSSIBLE DISASTER Desalinator high pressure hose and fittings
eric freedman
As an afterthought, check the rubber hose that attaches the stove to the propane supply line. The hose was rubbing on the stove and I was lucky to catch it before I had a problem. I have replace it with steel braided hydraulic hose and rerouted the hose to prevent disaster. Fair Winds Eric Kimberlite Amel Super Maramu #376

James, I had my hoses duplicated at a hydraulic shop in St. Maarten. They used aeroquip hose and swage on fittings. They are much less money than the do it yourself ones that come with the watermaker. Just make sure that the steel braid in the hose is stainless.. The hoses are usually rated at 5000 psi. Hydraulic shops make hoses for bulldozers, etc. You can find them everywhere. Fair Winds Eric Kimberlite Amel Super Maramu #376

James, I am glad to see you are enjoying life. We will be around St Maarten at the start of the season. If you happen to want to bang your way back that way. A few years we sailed from Santa Marta to Guadeloupe. What a miserable passage 25-35 on the nose for 8 days. Fair Winds Eric
