Hydraulic hose specs- ZF 25 2.8 to Bowman DC60XCC

Thomas Kleman

Im looking to get spare hydraulic hoses for my new trans oil cooler. Both the trans and the oil cooler have fittings allowing for a hose with 2 female ends which I think might be 3/8 inch BSPP. As I attempted to order online I was overwhelmed by the 30 or so different end fittings available. Does anyone know the precise spec for this hose ?

Plan B is to take the hose to a local French hydraulics guy but that makes me nervous.

Tom,

I’d go with the local hydraulic guy.  We have had good luck with them everywhere we have traveled and needed the service.  Hydraulics are really common on boats and equipment of all kinds, and the tools to make custom hoses are everywhere.

I am fairly certain the fitting is the same fitting Dessalator uses which is JIC. The size is 3/8 inch. This is a common fitting.
