Changing end-caps Desal

Nick Newington

This morning I changed the Desalateur end caps.(160l)

The only thing I want to add to the common knowledge is that I found that the air blower needed to be dropped in order to access the forward outboard nut holding up the frame.
Once out into the cockpit we unbolted the frame from the pressure vessels and using the hose clamp and line technique, yanked the end caps off. Easy as…..
The bobbin was a bit corroded and some signs of crumbling of the end cap itself but only at the bobbin hole.

All reinstalled and running drip free.
