Aqua Signal 34 LED max voltage

Slavko Despotovic

Thank you all for your inputs. Nothing goes easy in this part of the world. What is the diameter of the aluminium stand where the old lamp is installed? And, what kind of the is bulb installed in the lamp?Electrician that was on the mast said that aluminium stand  has to be cut, drilled and so on. So I decided no to do anything at this point of time. Just change the non working bulb for anchor light. I diid not go up the mast but I have a photo. Thank you for the help.

Aqua Signal 34 navigation lights will run just fine on a normal 24 Volt system, including the absorption charging voltages of close to 29 Volts.  We have used them for years without an issue.

The only thing to be careful of: If you have flooded lead acid batteries and you run an equalization charge. Depending on the exact specifications from your battery manufacturer that can run up to 34 Volts and will be a problem for many devices.

I asked them soecificalky about this. This was the response:

=================

Dear Arno, thank you for your email and pointed out the incorrect information on the website.  We will arrange to make the corrections, specifically:

12/24 V DC (not AC)

+/- 20% (not +/- 10%)

Attached is the manual for this series which has the correct voltage information.

Please if you should have any other questions, please let us know.

Sincerely,

Matt

=================

I have the tricolor with Anchor light to replace the Lopolight. Works excellent and thanks to the Bayonet easy to replace if needed. I did not modify the powersupppy to the light.

Slavko,

I think it is all about the bulbs. The actual light fitting does not care.  If you use LED bulbs then get 10-32v.

I just got delivered Aqua Signal 34 LED Tricolor plus anchor navigation light. Regarding voltage it is written 12/24V. I can not find the max voltage for this lamp. Should I convert 24V to 12V to be on the safe side in case I am running generator and charger that will produce 28V? What is experience with voltage higher than 24V. There are navigation lights from other suppliers with max 32V. I can not find data for Aqua Signal.
