I recently had a client who had major issues with his bow thruster motor.  To the point that the rotor needed rewinding, and a new commutator was required.

It took a while, but a wing and a prayer suggestion from Bill Rouse pointed him to Jeff Warfield Electric in Fenton, MO who sourced the commutator from Leroy Somers and did the rewinding and general refurbishment all for a VERY reasonable price.

Knowledgable, excellent business practice, a recommended resource if you really have problems that go deeper than the average motor shop can handle.  Kind of a hassle shipping something so large and heavy, but we all ran out of coastwise options who had the tooling to do the winding.
