New mainsail from Q-sails
And it seems that Amel have fitted it as standard to the A50 with the recent upgrades...

This is quite amusing to read. My sailmaker has been recommending this ProRadial as a better, much more cost effective, fabric for cruising boats for years.
His logic was that Hydranet does stretch a bit less in use, and that makes it more valuable to the racing crowd, but ProRadial had a life span in normal use just as long, and at a significant cost savings. The performance difference in the cruising world is
tiny. After three years with a ProRadial genoa, we are still very happy with it.
So many sailmakers pushed the Hydranet because: “It’s more expensive! It must be better!” Better for their profits for sure.
When we got our ProRadial sail it was 25% cheaper than the same sail from Hydranet. I hope that cost savings is reflected in current production from other sailmakers.

We also stayed in Queensway marina Gibraltar to receive it and all went very smooth.
It arrived a bit later than originally promised but we where able to re-skedule our days in Queensway marina.
The communication with Emrah and his team was clear and to the point.
Thank you Q-sails!

I fully agree with you, same experience on CottonBay ...

I know some people had other experiences with them. My experience was the exact same as yours. Emrah did exactly what he said he would do and got my sails to Hawaii on time. I put them on and sailed the boat to San Diego. What a huge difference from the old sails I had on. They are fantastic and so responsive,, with 4000nm on them so far I have zero complaints. Happy you had the same experience and elated things are getting back to normal.Happy sailingCBKOA SM #430

Hi everyone:
We just wanted to extend a big thank you to the folks a Q-sails for making us a beautiful new mainsail quickly.
We realise the last 18 months has seen many different experiences with sail making, and we just wanted to share ours.
In the last 6 months, we have had 2 separate dealings with Emrah and Q-sails directly, both of which were expedient and very positive. The first experience was back in April when we put down deposit a for a new suite of sails. Due to unforeseen circumstances, we had to cancel that order, and Emrah refunded our deposit quickly and without fuss.
Our second dealing was very recent (in August) when we ordered a new mainsail for SM 373 from Q-sails. For a few different reasons, not the least of which was our timeline and product availability, we chose Pro-radial fabric from DP. The sail was constructed within a week of payment, and delivered within 3 weeks to Gibraltar. By any measure, this was above-expectations service.
We hanked on the new sail yesterday, and the quality of the workmanship was excellent. We would not hesitate to recommend Q-sails to anyone looking for new sails. Emrah's communication has always been quick and helpful, and the overall service was great.
Respectfully,
