Stefan,
A faulty capacitor
will usually pop the breaker, not shut down the unit.
If you are sure the
HP sensor is working, then do not remove it.
Have you tried
writing to Climma for help? Their customer service is quite
good.

Dear Gili, dear Mark,
thx for your hints.
There is a strong flow of water.
Thus I assume no problem with the seawater circulation,
no clogged water condenser.
I bypassed the hp-sensor. No changes.
So the sensor supposed to be ok.
But I can not get it loose (afraid
to destroy the small copper pipe, have to wait that corrosionX
is working), so that is not really sure from my point of view.
Maybe something with a faulty capacitor?
Is it possible to bypass it?
Best regards
Stefan

You have a high
pressure error. The cause is one of two things.
1. Lack of cool water
flowing through the unit. Check the seawater outlet thru-hull.
You should see a strong flow of water when the compressor is
running.
2. The high-pressure
sensor is faulty or stuck (most likely). Try tapping it with a
small tool. Note the word "tap". Or, you can bypass the sensor
to check it. These sensors getting stuck not uncommon and easy
to fix.
With best
regards,
Mark

Dear Amelians,
I recently got a problem with the air con (assuming
it is the original CLIMMA VECO) in the guest cabin.
It runs for appr. 5 seconds, display is normal.
Then it shuts down with display all lights/ led on.
I tried it several times.
Pump is running, you hear water flowing through the
unit. There are no leaks etc..
After shutdown the circuit board shows 1 green an 1
red light- see pictures.
This unit worked very well the last years. Now after
4 months of „break“ not any more (No problems with the other 2
units).
I have not idea for the reason.
Thus I really appreciate your responses.
Best regards

Stefan.
If the code that you are receiving is related to high pressure switch it can be one of the following reasons; 1. not enough sea water circulating in this specific unit due to some kind of restriction in the water pipes. 2. Clogged water condenser coil 3. Defective high pressure switch….try to bypass the wires on the pressure switch and see if it makes the difference, if the unit stays ON and running it’s definitely one of the above reasons.

Dear Bill,
thx a lot for your help.
What I already checked: - Clogged air filter, as Courtney suggested - no, it is super clean, like new
- The blower running at too low of a speed is usually caused by a faulty capacitor. Try starting on the high-speed fan setting. - not possible/ nothing changes
- Blower duct clogged - no, it is clean
I don't know how to check: - Too much refrigerant and Doug suggested -More then before/ too much seems unlikely. (no changes on this unit, working well so far)
- The pressure sensor is malfunctioning - Where is it located?
- Possibly a bad compressor start/run capacitor, or -
- Something else like a bad compressor or clogged expansion valve.
Doesn't look like I can solve it myself.

Hey Stefan,
Looking at the manuals for this unit, it appears that the red LED on the circuit board is for High Pressure switch cutoff. I am guessing that the water flow you hear and are noticing is due to the other units
running in compressor mode, and that is keeping the water flowing through all three. It is one series loop of seawater coolilng circuit.
But if it were the high pressure cutout, you shouldn’t have the display all lit up like that, it would give an error code of HP. Mine is like yours and I had that occur last year and it was an overcharge situation
from an increase in gas refrigerant. In other words, it was doing what it was supposed to do. That doesn’t seem like the issue for you.
Another issue to be aware of, is running 220 V AC from shore power is fine if you are getting 50 hz. These units don’t run on 220 V 60 Hz very well and will either freeze up or not run well and shut down.
Are you running from the Aruba marina shore power? If so, unplug and run it with the generator to see if the problem persists.
Thanks, Doug

Dear Doug, dear Courtney,
thx a lot for your swift appreciated responses.
No, we are not at the marina in Aruba, but on the anchorage. Thus the unit is running only with our generator. The other units are off.
Which filter do you mean? Where is it located?
