Hello, Here are a few pictures of a similar installation on a A55. Has someone done an identical project and could comment and advise. |

I am the owner of Rupella Nr.55 and I am happy to share my experience with you. I am very satisfied with the performance of the panels and the steel supports. They are curved on purpose to improve exposure and they are removable by sliding them out of the davit. I always leave them installed as my main intention was to keep the batteries charged without having to connect to the shore. They were a prototype made to my requirements, but ithey worked out well right away. The panels are Solbian SX158 and I found that in average during a sunny day they deliver between 80 and 125W each. I know there are now more efficient types as well. The cables do go through the davits into the lazarette and connect into a Victron charger MPP100/20. The system was designed and supplied by Assea Boat in Italy, the owner is a very competent Solbian and Victron dealer with good engineering skills. Let me know if you need more info. Andrea
