Locked Amel Owners Yacht Tracking #IMPORTANT

Thanks Wolfgang for the information.

Predictwind is a very attractive solution but for those already equiped with a non Predictwind SIM activating the GPS tracking requires a professional subsription which is 119,99€ per month (though before discoun)t.

Shifting from another provider to Predicwing would mean being sent and activating a new SIM card.

Not sure if and when I will do this I have added my boat to the Noforeignland Amel group.

I spoke with Arianne at PW and when we upgraded our account the discount was applied for us.  

I believe that they are happy to apply the discount, you just need to speak with them.

Thank you Bill for this,

I have another small annoying aside to this – we use PredictWind as well for years. Because I have an iridiumGo “air-plan” from another source than PredictWind, I cannot do automatic tracking with PredictWind Worldwide Tracking on my irirdiumGo.

PW setup the page for me and PredictWind told me;  I need to do the tracking manually because I have not their PW iridiumGo SIM.!!

  • I think this is not a technical issue, it is more a sales/marketing barrier, and I feel this not “gentlemen like”! Quite disappointing
