Happy Holidays to all,
Thomas Peacock on SM #240 Aletes did a nice writeup on the Chain Counter Wiring here:
https://amelyachtowners.groups.io/g/main/message/45538?p=%2C%2C%2C20%2C0%2C0%2C0%3A%3ACreated%2C%2Cchain+counter+voltage%2C20%2C1%2C0%2C31363940
However, SM 466 seems to be a little different. I have 13.2 volts on the Brown wire at 11 o’clock on the rear of the display unit (see photo), but I have lost power on the Brown wire at 7 o’clock (had it yesterday). There is writing on the outer insulation on both of these, but I can’t make it out. I had power here yesterday (I believe 12.5 V but it could have been 24 V), but while tinkering around up there with the chain counter wires and the voltmeter, I think I may have shorted something and blown a fuse. But I don’t know where to look.
I believe the source of power for the wires at 11 o’clock is the 24v-12v converter under the Nav Station, but I am not sure - I do have power at the converter. I have no idea the power source for the wires at 7 o’clock.
Is there anyone in Amel Land that can offer some insight here?
Thanking you in advance for any and all assistance.
All the best,
Paul Stascavage
