B&G 213 mast head unit

My wind direction and speed on my B&G Hydra sudden failed. No 0's , no nothing. I look up and the anerometer
is spinning and the direction arrow seems to move accordingly. Is there a way to test the system at the junction box at the base of the mast?
I read Bill R's good directions on the replacement of the 213 MHU but would like to know if it is a fault in the main processor before I go up the mast.
Any information??>

I believe that page 96 of the Amel Book gives you the test you are looking for at the junction box

Bill,
Depending on how "original" your hydra and your attached computer are, there are a significant set of diagnostics available from the hydra. Assuming your computer is the H2000, Section 6 of this manual has a comprehensive, albeit not very user friendly, set of diagnostic tests. https://manuals.bandg.com/discontinued/Hydra_2000-04_User_Manual.pdf
Ours failed a few years ago, with symptoms as you described. The diagnostic tests that were accessible through the FFD display showed us the problem was internal to the H2000.

Bill,
Have you tried turning it off (complete power down of the whole system) and turning it back on again? (I sound like the IT help desk - LOL)
With best regards,
