AutoProp question

Ruslan Osmonov

Hi folks,
Quick question. When you put in AutoProp's Shaft Nut Locking screw (the set screw that locks big central nut), do you use locktite (I assume blue) or do use TefGel?
After servicing mine and putting it back I put TefGel on it, thinking that I do not want it to seize and then having hard time to unscrew it after 2 years.
But I just noticed that looks like Brian from SVDelos is using locktite to make sure he does not lose the prop.

what do you do?

The Autoprop manual specifically says that you use thread locking compound on the set screw. An appropriate formulation of Loctite or similar would suffice.  Do what they say.
